Twitter REST API Vs Twitter Fabric - Twitter Core -


i see, have 2 options integrating twitter in andriod apps. 

1. twitter rest api 2. twitter fabric - twitter core

what difference between both. way access data different ?(twitter rest api calling request , response. , twitter core sdk, call methods , use it.)

whether twitter continue support both rest api , twitter fabric.

note: know twitter4j, external api in turn calls rest api. please don't provide info twitter4j. don't want info external library.

little confusing 1 use. appreciated.

i see single signon 1 useful difference. allows sync twitter accounts configured in twitter app, can't achieved using rest api.

it depends on want use twitter fabric not integrating twitter,it platform provides other functionalities crash reports via crashlytics , monetization etc. still need network requests getting tweet , other data twitter , need integrate sdk in application increase size of app. if want data twitter , not want compromise app size may use rest apis,but if think can benefit other features provided fabric platform recommend use fabric

Android soft keyboard reverts to default keyboard on orientation change -

i'm building android soft keyboard , can't seem fix bug - have arabic , qwerty keyboard , when rotate device on qwerty keyboard (or arabic shift), it's if program has "restarted" , becomes arabic keyboard without shift. the onsaveinstancestate(bundle savedinstancestate) not work because application not extend activity inputmethodservice . i put following in android manifest android:configchanges="keyboard|keyboardhidden|orientation" android:windowsoftinputmode="stateunchanged|adjustresize"> i tried using @override public void onconfigurationchanged(configuration newconfig) { super.onconfigurationchanged(newconfig); log.i(mydebug, "config changed " + currentkeyboard.equals(qwerty)); } however, currentkeyboard.equals(qwerty)) results false , made sure true before orientation change. any appreciated. i think applications fault. if application restarting on orientation change
