android - GcmListenerService backward compatibility -

google updated play-service 7.5 version includes addition of gcmlistenerservice, instanceid , other api changes. want know if backward compatible devices having play service version older 7.5 ?

might basic question haven't find way through it. plz help.

if api available gps 7.5, , need it, have sure device has version of gps. take @ this, in particular "handle connection failures". right way proceed: don't care gps version, use last 1 , make sure device has last 1 too.
