hadoop - Mapreduce job is not running -
after installing , configuring hadoop 2.7.1 in pseudo-distributed mode running, can see in the
~$ jps 4825 jps 4345 namenode 4788 jobhistoryserver 4496 resourcemanager
than ran mapreduce example
hadoop jar /usr/local/hadoop-2.7.1/share/hadoop/mapreduce/hadoop-mapreduce-examples-2.7.1.jar pi 2 10
and execution frezees (?)

after 2 hours shows same..
please give idea..

here can see when execute jps
command
~$ jps 4825 jps 4345 namenode 4788 jobhistoryserver 4496 resourcemanager
it not showing data-node
. means data node down. need format , start again.
i having same issue on server. steps have followed is:
stop-all.sh
hadoop namenode -format
hadoop datanode -format
- go actual directory hdfs namenode , datanode located. remove files using
sudo rm -rf *
- remove files tmp directory e.g.
app/hadoop/tmp/
- start hadoop using
start-all.sh
- check if running or not using jps
