i want set honeypot type trap catch out , secretly record tech support scam firm conned grandparents out of lot of money non issue on computer. many such scam firms, change web address , phone numbers , partially based in india.

i thinking running windows 7 inside virtual machine , using socks proxy vm's internet connection hide true static ip.

i planning make video scammers , put on youtube.

the thing though, doubting whether can legally record conversation in covert manner , put on yt. (in uk)

what want know whether scammers able private license key, or other identifiable information vm when have control of it? them having product id (including them going through microsoft) put license/copy of windows in jeopardy?

i ideally want bring them justice , spread word them closed down. in other words, want own on them.

they can know run on vm. simple command hardware. but, sure not check if honey pot.i dont know how planning record them. dont believe can record interesting visually.the first step them have rootkit on pc. after command line. there nothing record visually other text line in honey pot software. , dont know when attack come. vm must time , ip , mac address same. others dont waste time.no 1 in history been put in jail hacking honey pot.
