Importing Chinese Characters from Excel to Stata -


i trying import excel sheets contain chinese characters stata 13.1. following guidelines @ following link: "chinese characters in stata" able chinese characters read in stata. example, have .dta files contain chinese characters , these displayed correctly.the issue when try , import excel sheets contain chinese characters, these imported "????" - string of question marks of varying lengths. way solve issue?

note: using windows 8.1 think method in link above still applies.

it sounds issue file , not stata. chinese characters (if not always) encoded utf-8. it's possible excel sheet didn't correctly. if you're not required import excel directly, maybe try opening file in excel, saving sheet "*.csv" (comma separated values) file, , make sure select option asks utf-8 encoding. use insheet using "file.csv" , names file in stata first row made variable names.

Android soft keyboard reverts to default keyboard on orientation change -

Rendering JButton to get the JCheckBox behavior in a JTable by using images does not update my table -
