phpmyadmin - What means dbconfig-common? -


i have simple question.

during installation of phpmyadmin ask if want configure database dbconfig-common (debian).

can please explain me dbconfig-common does? difference?

dbconfig-common tool simplifies database configuration. instead of editing config-files directly, provides ui can set setting avoid misconfiguration. can find more information here: http://docs.openstack.org/havana/install-guide/install/apt-debian/content/debconf-dbconfig-common.html
