REGEX to disallow asterisk (*) in MVC C# application -


in mvc application, user can search strings asterisk (*) not allowed in search string. how achieve using regex? thanks!

you can use following regex:

^[^*]*$

inside character group, * matches literal *. negated character class [^*]* match 0 or more characters other asterisk.
